House Wren Sings the song of the day

Turn up the volume and enjoy the sights and sounds of a house wren as it sings to find a mate and builds a nest in a bird house. Be sure to see all the other wildlife videos from my home area!

It is a good thing that they are not the size of a crow! Car alarms would be going off.

    Nice video.

I hear this bird not only in America, but have you ever noticed on location programs in Israel and Jesus movies this bird often calls in the background! I am amazed that it can live both in Israel and America. It’s the same song. I’m pretty keen on bird songs.

I don’t dare put a wren box in my yard. Because of my birdfeeder, my yard has become a hawk heaven. Coopers hawks, sharp shinned hawks and even a pair of kestrels. I hate to look out my window and see small feathers falling out of the pine trees. I don’t want to deliver a box lunch to the hawks. I love the wrens songs too much to put them in danger.

We used to call the house wren “The Boss” since he sang all day long sitting on our fence, non-stop! Such a lively little package of feathers and song..we should all have his determination and enthusiasm!
